Hello and welcome to My Vocal Exercise program. You will find a large variety of exercise that will help you build a stronger more flexible voice with greater range. If you are patient and work on a regular daily basis, these exercises will show you the way to a more enjoyable singing experience.  No longer will you feel that tired or sore sensation under the base of the tongue.  No longer will you wake up in the morning feeling horse. No longer will there be a weak spot, or break in the middle of your voice.

I have used these exercises for over 35 years with countless numbers of professionals from Broadway performers to pop singers, from blues singers to the crazy world of rock and role.. I've worked with opera singers and cabaret singers. No matter how you use, (or abuse) your voice, these exercises will help you to understand of your voice and give you the knowledge to keep it growing and remaining healthy for years to come.

So, enjoy, work hard, and have fun. Just remember one important concept. "A little too little is better than a little too much." Over practicing is not only not productive, it is counter productive because it leads to bad habits.

Before you begin using the exercises, you need to know the following in order to download:
    Right click on the selected link. On the menu you will see "save target as".
    Click the "save target as" to download.
    Otherwise, a left click will actually play the exercise.
    You can choose to play the exercises but because they aren't streaming video
    they don't work too well.  They may pause and/or the sound may not match.

Before you begin working on any of the exercise download the following four steps routine.

I developed this routine many years ago to help my professional student to help them keep working on their voice with practice tapes when they went on tours. This setup routine enables you to know when to begin an exercise. It also reminds you to breath correctly. Some people find the four step routine a little too much in the beginning. If that is the case with you, just start on step 3 with the slow breath through the nose. If you can't take a four beat breath, start on the second beat or even the third beat.  However, It is important that you learn to breath with the stomach firm.
