Set up Broken Down

    1st step is saying the word "sing" and leaving the tongue touching the roof of the mouth.

    2nd step is kicking out the breath through the nose, while the tongue 
        is still touching the roof of the mouth, to connect to the support.

    3rd step is a slow, 4 beat, sipping breath back in through the nose

If you can't take a four beat breath, start on the second beat or even the third beat.  However, It is important that you learn to breath with the stomach firm. Keep working on it until you can do all four steps. If you still find it too diifficult or confusing, just start the exercises on step 2 or 3 with the slow NG breath through the nose.
